I am so sorry for your loss. John was an amazing man. He was funny and so nice. I did not know he was a Vietnam Veteran. God bless him for his service.
I love your family very much. John will be missed.

John was a special man, always had a smile. I think John and Darlene had the kind of marriage everyone wants. May your memories bring you all peace.
Hugs, Mary-Terri

A run down of the type of person my grandpa was, he was the glue to our family.
John Janson was a leader, a survivor. A wise man who built his legacy on love, commitment and loyalty to help his family and those around him, my grandpa was courageous he was very hardworking. Nothing stopped him from getting what he wanted in life, my grandpa helped a lot of people and sacrificed so much to provide for our family. He was the only true person who never judged me for my flaws and was there to help me in any sort of problem that came my way. He lit up a room with his presence even towards the end he did his best to smile through the pain that he endured due to the cancer that took over, he had so much positivity and encouraged our family that we were going to be okay and that he would still be here in spirit even after he passed. He treated everyone like family, when my grandpa got a new case for work he became invested and would go above and beyond to help people get the assistance they need and get back to work. I lived with my grandparents for a good majority of my life and I used to play volley ball and I would get so sad when game time came around because I thought no one would be there to watch me play but little did I know Bampy would take separate cars that day to get off early to come to my games, he would be the first parent there and would watch us rehearse then play the game, win or lose he always told me “good job Tinkerbell I’m proud of you” then we would go home eat dinner then have ice cream on the couch, these will be the moments I forever miss. We did everything together from fishing, golfing, yard work, driving, he taught me how to write in a professional manner so I would be taken seriously as I got older. So many valuable life skills that he showed me that I can never thank him enough for. My grandpa was my bestfriend. I miss you Bampy❤️
With the most Love, Tinkerbell❤️
