Please share a memory of Joanne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Joanne Marie Harris (Boban), 67, passed away surrounded by her family in the early morning hours of Friday April 18th at Mason General Hospital in Shelton, WA. Up until her final days Joanne maintained her hope, humor, and deep love of her family and friends. She was born August 11, 1958 in Redding, CA to George and Kay Boban. She enjoyed the small town farm life, along with her six siblings, growing up in Cottonwood, CA. She attended Shasta College, receiving her Associates degree and went to work in the medical field for most of her life. She was married to Robert Harris in 1978, they built a life together and raised their three children in Shasta Lake, CA. She loved everything related to crafting and was an avid quilter and baby swaddle maker. She loved to garden and delighted in seeing beautiful flowers and hummingbirds (her favorite). She never forgot to wish someone a happy birthday and always sent cards to her loved ones for every occasion, or just because. She is survived by her three children daughter Amanda (Anthony) of Savannah, GA, Scott (Dawn) of Caldwell, ID, and Korey (Tiffany) of Shelton, WA. She is also survived by her six siblings Barbara, Butch, Larry, Chris, Debbie, and David and lastly the loves of her life, her 3 beautiful grandchildren Mason, Logan, and Olivia along with many nieces and nephews that she cherished. Joanne was the mother, gram, sister, auntie, and friend that everyone wishes they had. She was kind, patient, beautiful, loving, thoughtful, funny, and full of light. She simply lived for her grandchildren and loved to teach them how to craft and to bake. A celebration of life will be determined at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the American Liver Foundation at liverfoundation.org
