I suddenly today thought of coach and did a Google search. Found a story about him and sent this note to the publisher:

Hello, and THANKS for keeping this post up for nearly 20 years!
I was thinking back on my time in Greeley, as a skinny 7th grader at Heath Jr. High in 1969, and the only teacher name I could remember was “Coach Untersayer� spelled wrong but I still found him through your site!
I got on his weight program and was in wrestling that year. What a surprise here in 2018 to find him:
