Dear Judy and all the Horton family! What a thrill to meet up with Warren and Judy at Christ Lutheran Church in Lakewood, WA. My husband started a conversation which made the Gulsrud connection and he came running to find me, saying, "I just met your Godfather! What a fun reunion after oh so many years. The Horton family was ever present in my childhood years growing up at Mt Olive and I am thankful to have had faithful Godparents (Mr and Mrs Horton to me!) Warren had a life well lived and now celebrates with Jesus in heaven. Thanks be to God for his life!

Warren was in the US Army June 1 1943 - Dec 1945. In at 19yrs old out at 21yrs old.
He was an airplane maintenance tech 750 specialist.(AAF tech badge w/airplane mech bar). He served in England and occupied Germany. WW11 Victory Medal,European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge Go 566 HQ 3rd Air Div 45 with 1 oak leaf cluster. I never had the opportunity to view any of these medals and citations- we all know Warren was a very modest, gentile and kind man. I miss our days together. Thank you to all of our families and friends for their kind words and most of all for their continued LOVE- Judy

Warren, Alice and their children were close friends to Roy, me and our children. A lot of years and many memories helped make our life what it was. Now He, Alice and Doug are together again and I send my deepest sympathies to Donna, Diana Dave and their spouses and children. Warren...................... we'll miss you. Gail Mears.
