Obituary of Eleanor Mae Stone

Eleanor Mae Stone , longtime Shelton resident, died peacefully at her home on Friday June 29. She was 87 years old. She was born in Shelton on May 5,1931 to Theodore “Bud” and Helen ( Pearcy ) Carlson. She graduated from Irene S. Reed high school, class of 1949. She married Wayne E. Stone on February 7,1953 after the Golden wedding anniversary celebration of Mr. and Mrs. William Getty, the grooms grandparents. She was proceeded in death by by her husband, parents, and brother Ken Carlson. Eleanor was primarily a home maker. She worked at J C Penney's after her marriage and as a florist in the 1970’s after raising her family. She was known for her love of family and hospitality. Surviving are her daughters Sandy Fredrickson and husband Rik, Susan Marler and husband Steven, all of Shelton. Grandchildren Daniel Marler ( Kim Dombrowsky ) and Rika Fredrickson ( Justin Durham ) great grandchildren Alyssa, Wyatt, Kyler, and Lucas. A memorial service has been scheduled for July 14th, at Hope Chapel, 421 West E.
