Obituary of Stephanie Gaye Hack

Stephanie Gaye Hack was born on November 16, 1966 in Hettinger ND. She passed November 17, 2018 at her home with family surrounding her. She was the daughter of Joe and Fern Uhler being raised on the farm in Reeder ND with 3 brothers and 4 sisters; Barb, Tim, Terry, Susan, Ginger, Steve and Kim. Stephanie attended Reeder High School and shared that she loved growing up in a small community. Her teachers were so good to their students-always playing with them and going that extra mile. She was athletic, played basketball, cheerleader and enjoyed gymnastics. Was always doing round offs, cartwheels and full of energy. Stephanie enjoyed so many activities as she was growing up Turkey Raffles, Santa Claus Day and many summer activities, like those summer dances! She loved the family horse Smokey and riding in the parades with him. Going out to the barn each year to discover Mama Kitty with baby kittens, she would sleep in the grainery with those kittens these were her happy memories. The harvest, the animals and gardening with Mom. She always talked about the dances, playing pool and playing cards! Ice skating on the ponds, big skating parties and Dad in attendance, were a lot of fun. Jumping off haystacks, the big snow drifts on the driveway and roads and going down south to run all over Golden Butte! Stephanie was a nurse’s aid for about seven years, which she loved and had a passion for. She was a successful secretary for 25 years and developed a life-long friendship with her boss Awilda and Mary K. Stephanie was married on February 27th, 1993 to Troy Hack. Troy was her soul mate and best friend for over 25 years. When she was asked what she loved about Troy she would say, “He is always showing concern for her, buying her gifts that were unique and just for her:” “He is the manly kind of man”. Always fixing things whether at home, work or in the yard. She always remarked how blessed she was to be married to him. Her words “so handsome and kind“. They enjoyed walking, camping, gardening and their pets. Their passion was snowmobiling, Christmas in the mountains ! They had their baby girl born to them on May 16th 1995, Chelsie Marie. Stephanie had so many precious memories of her girl Chelsie, she wrote; “ loved Chelsies sweet thoughtful and kind nature, especially for her elders and those with disadvantages“. She has a servants heart. She was happy for Chelsie when she became the wife of Alex Ferguson July 13th, 2017. She was proud of Chelsies accomplishments, working at the YMCA and now the Doctors Clinic and her love for gardening, just like her Momma. Stephanie also wrote, “Chelsie you are so beautiful and kind.” Steph mentioned in her notes that she was blessed to have a wonderful mother-in-law Rose Hack, her children have been her life, and she loves Christ. Grateful also for her brother and sisters in law, with their southern hospitality and thoughtfulness. Especially mentioned Troy’s sister Rosanna and husband Harold and their sons as they serve our country. She was grateful for her brothers and sisters who made numerous trips to see and care for her, traveling from Wyoming, Arizona, and North Dakota. She loved the tender care her sister Ginger brought and the way Kim could make her laugh and the numerous calls Steve made with a daily joke! Just like her Mom she had a unique relationship with each of her siblings and they valued and loved the time they had with her. In closing Stephanie wrote, “I feel blessed to have family, friends, co-workers and neighbors who came to see her, call or wrote. She said “thank you for that great gift.” Stephanie was a strong believer in Jesus Christ and wanted to leave you with a few thoughts she has learned through her relationship with Jesus: God has forgiven sins, we should as well, encourage each other, watch your tongue, be a good friend, build relationships with Godly friends, have good character, be kind, honest and thoughtful, love-doing things the other person wants, not just what you want, draw close and seek God-we all need the Bible to grow spiritually, listen to God-your conscience. God has taught me so much! I am the righteousness of God because of His son Jesus Christ, Him dying and being risen again. He is my God and I am one of His people. The Angels will carry me to Heaven safely. We have grief…,but we have hope in the Celestial City of Heaven. “Quoted from Stephanie Hack“ A Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends on December 2, 2018 at 3:00 pm at Lakeland Community Center Allyn, WA.
