Obituary of Frank Newell Day

Frank Newell Day, 76, of Allyn died at home on April 16, 2014 surrounded by his family. Born in Shelton, Frank lived most of his life in the state of Washington except for 4 years while in the Navy in California, and 8 years when his family lived in Anchorage Alaska. Frank and Sharon, his high school sweetheart and wife of 54 years, resided the last 17 years in Allyn, Washington. Frank will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend to many. Frank is known for his quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. He loved the outdoors, fishing, snow skiing, baseball, golfing, reading, telling stories, and dogs. Frank is survived by his wife, Sharon Day; sons Craig and Bill Day; daughter and son-in-law, Cyndi and Ted O’Farrell; 6 grandchildren: Nick and Carly O’Farrell, Ethan and Jack Stevens-Day, Liam and Sara Stevens-Holeman; sisters Kathi D’Apice and Melodee Adams. A Celebration of Franks life will be held May 1st at 4:00 at the Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton.
