Obituary of Amy Pearl Bartley

Amy Pearl Bartley passed on April 14th to join her husband, Bart, in heaven on his birthday. What an incredible gift! She passed peacefully at home in Olympia, WA, surrounded by family. Amy was born in Albuquerque, NM to Clarence and Betty Doty on March 28th, 1950. It is there that she met and married Roy “Bart” Bartley on July 14, 1967. They were married 51 years. They remained in New Mexico until 2010, when they moved up to Washington State. Amy enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren. Most would remember her for always being a place they could go and feel welcome. She kept the family together. Clever and savvy, she could always make something from nothing. Amy raised 4 of her own children, as well as her brother, Monroe, and her grandson, Logan. Abby New was an ever-present family member but was by Amy’s side for the last year of her life. Amy is survived by a family that will miss her terribly, including children, Dixie (Dan) Paulsen, Navada Bartley, and Bonnaville (Mandy) Bartley. Her grandchildren, John, Magen, Amy Jean, Montana, Tyler, Natasha, Logan, Jessica, Amanda, Alex, Mady, Jake, Eli, Sofia, and Joshua, along with 21 great-grandchildren, and a host of brothers, sisters, cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and so on. She was “Aunt Amy” to many. Amy is proceeded in death by her husband, Bart, and her son, Cheyenne, as well as many other family members. The memorial service will be held in Olympia, WA, at a later date, due to the current health concerns of the nation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations will be collected by Dixie Paulsen.
