Obituary of David Alan Nichols
David Alan Nichols, 54, passed away at home on Monday, June 15, 2015. He was born on December 26, 1960 in Lodi, California, to James and Lula Nichols. The first surviving child of three children (an infant brother, Stewart, passed away before he was born). He was raised in Lodi and graduated from Lodi High School in 1979. David met the love of his life, Sylvia Willis, in Lodi and they were married on August 19, 1985. They later moved to Shelton, Washington, to be closer to David’s family. They have four beautiful children, Shyanne (20), Zachariah (19), Russell (15), and Benjamin (11).
David was a third generation painter by trade and established Red’s Painting, in Shelton. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, his family, and adventures. He was a faithful Christian and loved the Lord. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia, his children, Shyanne, Zachariah, Russell, and Benjamin; his father, James (Elaine) Nichols (Lodi, CA); his sisters, Carol (James) Carney, Rochester; Linda Ashborn, Shelton; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lula Nichols; Grandparents, Lucille (Marion) Speece and Alene (Art) Nichols; and numerous uncles and an aunt. A celebration of life is scheduled for June 27 at the family’s home at Deer Creek.
